A collision of genres, an explosion of sounds and a meeting of minds, Rock the Block 2025 takes up residence in St. Anne’s Park Shandon to celebrate Cruinniú na nÓg 2025! This event will showcase a myriad of young music-makers, plus a very special performance from headline act Hazey Haze, who has been storming his way through the rap and hip-hop world!

In its third year, Rock the Block, a Kabin Studio, Musical Neighbourhoods and Music Generation Cork City partnership, will count itself among a host of new and exciting night-time economy events taking place around the city on Saturday 7th June. Situated under the bells of Shandon, a full day’s exciting youth music-making and creativity is promised.
Opening with Rap-A-Mile from the youngest performers of the Kabin Studio (think ‘The Spark’ fame) from 2pm, followed by a traditional Irish and folk open jam session at 4pm; an interactive breakdance workshop with Cian Mulcahy at 4.15pm; a rock, pop, rap and hip-hop open mic session from 5pm; a beat-box showcase with LAMAR at 6.15pm; a music showcase by the Kabin Crew Teens at 6.30pm; and culminating in a not-to-be-missed guest performance by the trailblazing Hazey Haze at 7.45pm to close out Rock the Block 2025.
This collaborative event promises to shake the foundations and roar from a height that Cork is alive with musical mayhem! Audiences will be treated to non-stop ceol, craic and magic until 8.30pm!
