“Life in Lockdown” – An original song written by five students, summing up their experience of life in a lockdown…
We are delighted to share this original and very catchy track, written and recorded by five students from Terence MacSwiney Community College over the course of the last number of weeks in lockdown. A collaboration project between TMCC, JCSP Library Project, The Kabin Studios, GMC Beats and Creative Tradition, this song was written and performed by Cara, Sophie, Chloe, Shirley Ann and Mark. Each student recorded remotely using SoundTrap, making full use of the app’s collaboration function. The workshop was facilitated remotely & track produced by Garry McCarthy of GMC Beats. Supported by the Community Foundation for Ireland, JCSP Library Project and Music Generation Cork City, we think this song is very reflective of the unusual times young people have found themselves in..
