We were beyond excited to present Music Generation Cork City’s 10th Birthday Celebration at The Everyman Theatre on Monday 21st November 2022.
This was a celebratory event featuring a specially commissioned short film (created by Seán Downey) and a variety of fantastic live music performances by young people involved in MGCC programmes, alumni and our team of musician-educators, including the incredible specially commissioned anthem and grand finale performance ‘Music Gives Me A Reason‘!
Hosted by special guest MC Laura O’Mahony, and featuring special guest performers Rebel Brass, this 10th birthday event was the most fantastic celebration of the people, the talent, community, music and pure joy at the heart of Music Generation Cork City!
Presented in partnership with The Kabin Studio, GMCBeats Cork Academy of Music, Creative Tradition, Music Mash Up, The Hut Youth Project CDYS/Youth Work Ireland, Mahon Youth Development Project UBU (Foróige), Athrú Collective, Foróige Linkpoint Knocknaheeny, Barrack Street Band, Music in Community (MiC) and Cork Community Gamelan (with UCC).
Here is the event programme we distributed at the show (for a free copy of this printed booklet, you can contact us at musicgencorkcity@corketb.ie ) :
